Why She Chose the Law

While Franqui-Ann Raffaele always dreamed of becoming a lawyer—sparked early on by watching Law & Order and admiring the pursuit of justice—her true calling emerged during college. When her grandmother suffered a fall, her family faced the overwhelming reality of estate planning and future care. A local attorney stepped in, traveling to her grandparents’ home to prepare estate planning documents. Shortly thereafter, her grandmother developed dementia and passed away within months; her grandfather passed the following year.

That attorney handled every legal detail, allowing her mother—an only child—to focus on grieving rather than navigating complex legal matters alone. Witnessing this experience firsthand left a lasting impression. It solidified her desire to practice estate planning, estate administration, and elder law, helping families find peace of mind during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Outside the Office

You can often find Franqui at home, enjoying a good book or trying a new baking recipe. She loves exploring new creative hobbies, such as felting, crocheting, and calligraphy to name a few. One of her happiest accomplishments is making pasta from scratch for a pasta night with friends. Much of her free time is spent with her husband, her three dogs – Winston, Margo and Honey – or her family and friends. When not at home, Franqui enjoys organizing brunch clubs, attending concerts of her favorite bands, or exploring the local shops.
